Once the only way of getting to the Wairarapa by rail, now the Rimutaka incline is the favourite jaunt of walkers, runners and cyclists.
This is a painting looking out of the last tunnel at the top of the hill before the journey down the Wairarapa side. The track heads out of the tunnel, slightly left and crosses the top of the valley and heads down towards Cross Creek Road.
This work hangs in the offices of Gillespie Young Watson, solicitors in Lower Hutt.
It is typical of the lush bush at Kaitoke waterworks.
Many new owners have changed the name of this sawmill but this is a painting that sold in my March/April 1981 solo exhibition.
Towards the seal colony at Kaikoura peninsular, this is another of my early paintings.

It depicts the old New Plymouth Rail Yard and a DX Class locomotive. The buttress on the left of the painting is the remains of part of a bridge pier. The oblique rays of the sun accentuate the state of the corrugated iron cladding on the engine shed in the background.

It depicts an area in the beautiful Redwood Forest in Rotorua where nature is seen at it's best.

Each year Middle Run farm near Gladstone in the Wairarapa is opened for daffodil picking and the proceeds are donated to charities.
This painting was donated to the Wellington Division of the Cancer Society and hangs in the foyer of Margaret Stewart House, Newtown, Wellington.
Commissioned by John and Jane Taylor this is a painting of a beautiful area of their farm that features leafy under-growth, native trees and a small running stream.

About halfway between Omarama and Twizel, looking northwest towards the beginning of the Ben Ohau Range showing the dry arid colours of the MacKenzie basin.
The vanishing point of the hills, the fence and the telephone line is approximately the position of Mount Cook.
